The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all related activities and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Culture Development: Collaborate with leadership to cultivate a safety-first culture aligned with our business goals, while creating comprehensive plans to foster a robust safety and environmental ethos.
  2. Compliance Audits: Regularly assess facility conditions, employee behaviors, and safety protocols to ensure adherence to OSHA and other safety regulations, identifying areas for enhancement.
  3. Performance Analysis: Evaluate safety performance through various reports and statistics, pinpointing trends and opportunities for improvement, and communicating findings to senior management.
  4. Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce safety and environmental policies that comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Training Management: Ensure comprehensive training for all employees on safety and environmental practices, maintaining thorough documentation and assessing training effectiveness.
  6. Incident Investigation: Lead thorough investigations of accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions, while managing the workers' compensation program.
  7. Emergency Response: Provide assistance during emergency situations within the facility or community as required.
  8. Regulatory Communication: Serve as the primary contact for regulatory communications and initiatives.
  9. Record Maintenance: Supervise the upkeep of all safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure they are current and accessible.
  10. Onboarding Support: Collaborate with Human Resources to integrate safety protocols into new employee onboarding processes.
Key Qualifications:
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  3. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  4. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all organizational levels.
  5. Self-driven with a commitment to achieving results.
Educational and Professional Background:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment.
  3. Proven experience in developing and managing comprehensive safety programs.
  4. Experience in training and leading personnel across various levels of the organization.
