Position Summary:

The Environmental Quality Assurance Manager will possess significant experience in overseeing quality control and environmental compliance initiatives within technical maintenance and repair programs comparable in size and complexity to those managed in the CBP Arizona Region Facilities, which encompass 138 facilities across 27 sites, totaling 1.38 million square feet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the performance of CMI personnel and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure all CMI operations align with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Provide the Government with compliant products and services while managing the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Control Plan for the contract.
  • Lead and mentor quality control technicians in their daily tasks and inspections.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel for joint quality inspections as necessary.
  • Work closely with CMI corporate and site management to keep all quality-focused staff updated on compliance requirements.
  • Manage the tracking, documentation, and disposal of hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with permits and certifications as stipulated in the contract.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Environmental Systems Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality control management for contracts of similar scope, with leadership experience managing quality control inspectors; five (5) years preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in environmental control roles on contracts of similar size and complexity.
