The Desktop Support Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of hardware and equipment. Responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading systems as necessary. The technician will also be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly, providing end-user training and support, and may participate in various project-related activities. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed to support the IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops and other hardware.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide end-user training and support on hardware and software.
  • Assist with IT projects and other tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Experience with Windows 10-11, SCCM, and Microsoft Intune is preferred.
  • Experience with computer imaging.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for end-user interaction and training.
