Lead Patient Care Coordinator, Maternity

As the Director of Patient Care for Maternity Services, you will hold a pivotal role with 24-hour responsibility for the oversight of the Maternity department, which includes Labor and Delivery, Special Care Nursery, Family-Centered Care, and Childbirth Education. Collaborating closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, you will monitor and analyze trends in patient demographics and acuity, ensuring effective management of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular rounds in designated areas to ensure compliance with established standards of care and practice, focusing on individualized care plans.
2. Design, implement, and assess innovative systems that enhance the efficient delivery of patient care.
3. Develop and manage the approved budget while evaluating staff competencies and educational needs in relation to evolving patient requirements.
4. Foster a nurturing environment for employees, promoting a culture of compassion, respect, and collaboration.

Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of three years of clinical experience in nursing, specifically in Labor and Delivery, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of clinical and professional practice issues.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current RN licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Technical Proficiencies:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Meditech systems is preferred.
