About the Role

The Davalyn Corporation is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Precision Manufacturing to lead our precision manufacturing shop. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shop, managing a team of 17 employees, and driving the company's success through operational efficiency, employee engagement, and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of the precision manufacturing shop, ensuring efficient production of high-quality products.
  • Production Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices in precision machining and grinding.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the electronics and aerospace industries, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 17 employees, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Financial Management: Drive profitability through cost control, process improvements, and strategic investments.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to set and achieve business goals, aligning operations with the company's long-term objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Monitor and analyze financial performance, preparing reports and presenting findings to the executive team.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in precision machining and grinding, with a strong technical background in manufacturing high-tolerance components.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience managing a precision machine shop or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: A competitive base salary of $125,000 - $150,000.
