Overview:

GENERAL SUMMARY


Under the supervision of the Janitorial Manager, we are seeking a Custodial Services Specialist responsible for executing cleaning tasks across various office and residential facilities.


KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS


Individuals in this position will cultivate and uphold positive, ethical, and professional relationships with the Facilities team, management, colleagues, clients, tenants, architects, contractors, inspectors, vendors, and other stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Performing routine and deep cleaning tasks including but not limited to:

1. Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, ensuring sanitation of all areas.

2. Disposing of waste and replacing liners in trash receptacles.

3. Dusting and cleaning office surfaces and furniture that are organized.

4. Cleaning windows and windowsills.

5. Keeping janitorial storage areas tidy, organized, and safe.

6. Maintaining cleaning equipment in a clean, safe, and functional state.

7. Utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment consistently.


8. Complying with OSHA regulations regarding the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment in daily custodial tasks.

Completing additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

A minimum of two years of experience in a custodial role with knowledge of cleaning practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Capability to walk or run for prolonged durations.

• Dexterity to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• Repetitive motion capabilities.

• Flexibility to bend or twist the body.

• Regular attendance is a fundamental requirement of the role.
