The Senior Financial Analyst for FP&A and Corporate Initiatives will deliver financial insights and foster business collaboration within the Jacobs - Divergent Solutions/iCMS division, addressing corporate accounting projects that influence the entire organization. This prominent finance position will supply dependable data and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning, while also establishing a reputation as a trusted advisor to the leadership of our Finance division. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, adept at navigating ambiguity, and excels in cross-functional teamwork. They possess a meticulous attention to detail, a passion for numerical analysis, and thrive in a dynamic work environment. The role encompasses managing the FP&A processes for the organization and spearheading projects that have a broad organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering FP&A financial support to the leaders of the Jacobs Divergent Solutions/iCMS teams concerning demand forecasting, productivity metrics, and reporting. Analyzing financial data in depth to become a subject matter expert and provide additional insights. Collaborating directly with the Finance Organization and central FP&A teams to align on metrics, objectives, and business evaluations. Identifying and addressing business challenges while proposing and implementing solutions. Engaging in corporate projects and initiatives that affect the entire organization.

Specifically, the Senior FP&A Analyst will assist in the following tasks:

  • Monitor, report, analyze, and forecast key metrics monthly, including revenue, profit, direct labor, indirect costs, and billability across various ERP systems.
  • Support indirect rate management through ad hoc analysis of indirect expenditures versus actual variances.
  • Identify spending scenarios where indirect rates or plans are affected and formulate recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for business reviews, external earnings disclosures, and other ad hoc requirements.
  • Assist in ERP system transitions and develop reporting utilizing diverse systems and tools.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership through both short-term and long-term financial planning processes, navigating and overcoming challenges, fostering growth, and driving process enhancements.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) related to indirect rate structures and cost allowability.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that embraces change.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and uncertain business landscape.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Proven ability to work independently and self-motivate in a rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Finance or a related discipline.
