This role involves engaging with both Accounting and Finance leadership, necessitating a blend of strong communication skills and the ability to deliver results. The responsibilities encompass managing the FP&A processes for the organization and spearheading projects that influence the entire company.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing FP&A financial support to the leaders of the Jacobs Divergent Solutions/iCMS teams in areas such as demand forecasting, productivity analysis, performance metrics, and financial reporting. Conducting in-depth analysis of financial data to become a subject matter expert, offering valuable insights. Collaborating directly with the Finance organization and central FP&A teams to align on metrics, objectives, and business evaluations. Identifying business challenges and proposing innovative solutions. Engaging in corporate projects and initiatives that affect the organization as a whole.

Specifically, the Senior FP&A Analyst will assist with the following tasks:

  • Monitor, analyze, and forecast key performance indicators monthly, including revenue, profit margins, direct labor costs, indirect expenses, billability, and days sales outstanding (DSO) across multiple ERP systems.
  • Support indirect rate management through detailed analysis of indirect expenditures and actual variances.
  • Identify scenarios where indirect rates or plans are affected and formulate recommendations for senior management.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for business reviews, external earnings disclosures, and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Assist with ERP system transitions and develop reporting capabilities utilizing various systems and tools.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven experience as a trusted partner to senior leadership in both short-term and long-term financial planning processes, effectively navigating challenging situations, fostering growth, and driving process enhancements.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) related to indirect rate structures and cost allowability.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a readiness to embrace change.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and uncertain business landscape.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently and self-motivate in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strategic relationships with business partners to achieve results.
  • Strong influence skills through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proven track record of driving projects across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and business modeling techniques.
