Position Overview:
The Project Financial Analyst role is a full-time, exempt position that plays a crucial part in the financial management of projects within Patriot Group International Inc. (PGI). This position will report directly to the Senior Project Financial Analyst and is based in Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Financial Analyst, you will be tasked with:
  • Exhibiting a thorough understanding of program control principles and the ability to develop and oversee Estimates at Complete (EAC), forecasting, strategic planning, and variance analysis.
  • Ensuring accurate collection of program costs by managing active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers as necessary.
  • Conducting monthly assessments of project performance against budgets and cost proposals, providing variance explanations.
  • Continuously monitoring funding status to ensure financial health.
  • Guaranteeing that contractual obligations are fulfilled and that customer financial deliverables, including financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRLs), are precise and timely.
  • Carefully analyzing program revenue and profit recognition.
  • Creating, reviewing, and approving invoices for customer submission while tracking billing status.
  • Investigating and reporting on assigned unbilled balances.
  • Collaborating with Program Management and Operations teams to develop pricing proposals and cost estimates, including documentation of pricing assumptions.
  • Working proactively with the Program Manager and team to meet programmatic and financial objectives.
  • Supporting audits of financial information conducted by internal and external auditors.
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management and team members.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Control, particularly in support of government contracting programs, including FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus Award Fee contract types.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various departments and organizational levels.
  • A strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience effectively interfacing with program management teams and various functional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
  • Experience managing an IDIQ contract with multiple active task orders.
  • Prior experience in dynamic and sensitive program environments.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting and reporting systems (e.g., Cost Point, Cognos).
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of working at a desk using computers and standard office equipment for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
