Your Contribution:

The Senior Financial Analyst for FP&A and Corporate Initiatives will deliver financial analysis and strategic partnership to the Jacobs - Divergent Solutions/iCMS division, addressing corporate accounting projects that influence the organization as a whole. This prominent finance position will furnish accurate data and insights to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning, while also establishing trust as a business advisor to the leadership within our Finance department. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, adept at navigating uncertainty and collaborating across various teams. They will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess a strong affinity for numerical data, and thrive in a dynamic work environment. This role encompasses both managing the FP&A processes for the organization and spearheading projects that have a widespread impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing FP&A financial support to the leadership of the Jacobs Divergent Solutions/iCMS teams concerning demand forecasting, productivity analysis, performance metrics, and reporting. Conducting in-depth financial analysis to become a subject matter expert and deliver additional insights. Collaborating directly with the Finance Organization and central FP&A teams to align on metrics, objectives, and business evaluations. Identifying business challenges and formulating effective solutions. Engaging in corporate projects and initiatives that affect the entire organization.

Specifically, the Senior FP&A Analyst will assist with the following tasks:

  • Monitor, report, analyze, and forecast essential metrics monthly, including revenue, profit margins, direct labor costs, indirect expenses, billability rates, DSO, etc., utilizing various ERP systems.
  • Support indirect rate management through ad hoc analyses of indirect expenditures against actual variances.
  • Recognize expenditure scenarios where indirect rates or plans are influenced and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for business evaluations, external earnings disclosures, and other ad hoc requirements.
  • Assist in ERP system transitions and develop reporting mechanisms using diverse systems and tools.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership through both short-term and long-term financial planning processes, navigating challenges, fostering growth, and driving process enhancements.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) related to indirect rate structures and cost allowability.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that embraces change.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and uncertain business environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a comprehensive perspective.
  • Proven ability to work independently and self-motivate in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to cultivate strategic relationships with business partners to achieve results.
  • Proficient in influencing others through effective verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and business modeling.
