Excellent opportunity promoting work/life balance. Anticipated work schedule will be 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.

About the Role:

The Clinical Care Specialist (CCS) delivers healthcare services to patients under the supervision and responsibility of a Staff Physician or Site Medical Director.

The CCS employs clinical judgment in performing health assessments and making differential diagnoses. Plans are executed through independent actions, health counseling, and collaboration with other healthcare team members.

The CCS promotes optimal health, prevents illness and injury, and manages both acute and chronic health conditions in the onsite environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts physical examinations and preventive health measures within established guidelines and instructions from the Physician.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, documents progress notes, provides discharge instructions, and assists in ensuring continuity of care.
  • Instructs and counsels patients on adherence to prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, and health maintenance.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical issues and healthcare needs.
  • Records physical findings and formulates plans and prognoses based on the patient's condition, providing written discharge instructions.
  • Collaborates with the Physician and other healthcare professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans as necessary.
  • Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy or related therapeutic procedures.
  • Refers patients to the Physician for consultation or to specialized healthcare resources for treatment.
  • Maintains medical records, potentially utilizing Electronic Medical Record software.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • All necessary state licenses/certifications to practice.
  • Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
  • Current national certification (NCCPA required).
  • Degree from an ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state.
  • CPR certification (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer or ACLS, including hands-on evaluation of skills).

Preferred Experience:

  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Clinical Care Specialist in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department setting.
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • Appropriate certification to prescribe medications under the authority of the Medical Leader, if permitted within state practice.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Training skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
