Your Role

The Clinical Research Nurse Supervisor at UC Irvine's Center for Clinical Research is pivotal in managing the operations of the research clinic. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of patient care and acting as a role model for clinical excellence. The supervisor will also engage in the administration and management of personnel, financial, and material resources, overseeing a multidisciplinary team that includes Registered Dental Assistants, Registered Dental Hygienists, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Vocational Nurses.


Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to swiftly assess issues, determine appropriate interventions, and implement effective solutions.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of human resources management policies, enabling effective training, monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of personnel performance.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of clinical standards and care delivery systems, along with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Effectively supervise clinical staff and manage the complexities of clinic operations, ensuring a seamless workflow.
  • Utilize business software and specialized applications for data management in patient care settings.
  • Foster strong interpersonal relationships for effective collaboration and problem-solving across various levels of management and external partners.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of mentoring staff and conveying complex clinical information clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
