Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team at JOHN R. SEIBERLICH INC., the Building Automation Systems Technician will be responsible for the retrofit and repair of advanced building automation systems. This role requires a solid understanding of control theory, programming, and troubleshooting techniques.

Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience. We offer an excellent benefits package, including a retirement plan and profit-sharing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure customer satisfaction by servicing controls on assigned projects.
2. Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment, meters, and software.
3. Provide technical assistance and guidance to fellow HVAC Service Engineers.
4. Identify, analyze, diagnose, repair, and maintain systems and products at customer locations utilizing computers and various hand and power tools.
5. Conduct preventative maintenance, site surveys, and modifications as required by clients.
6. Serve as a direct customer contact, representing the company positively.
7. Offer technical support and training at customer sites as needed.
8. Prepare for on-site work by assessing building layouts, anticipating challenges, and coordinating necessary materials.
9. Determine required parts for repairs and manage timelines effectively.
10. Document all work accurately, including daily time, progress, and resource usage.
11. Maintain the service vehicle and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
12. Stay updated on all equipment serviced by the company, including installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
13. Read and interpret product specifications and applications.
14. Provide sales leads to the sales team as appropriate.
15. Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as necessary, with regular travel requirements including occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in HVAC, electronics, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a technician working with various EMS/BAS manufacturers' systems.
- Preferred certifications include Niagara AX, Johnson Controls, and/or Allerton Controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledgeable in HVAC system operations and troubleshooting.

Work Environment:
This position involves working in diverse environments, including outdoor settings and mechanical rooms, often under varying weather conditions. The role may expose the technician to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and potential electrical hazards.
