We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Systems Engineer to join our Controls & Systems Engineering team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced controls for Chillers and Smart Building products used by our customers to run their buildings and manage their energy costs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform duties as the team's Data Center Controls Technical Lead, overseeing the development, testing, and support of controls for Chiller Solutions' products.
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop, test, and support controls for Chiller Solutions' products, applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles to develop and realize equipment control solutions.
- Work independently and interface directly with electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and research engineers to develop system-wide solutions.
- Lead complex projects, implementing, reviewing work products, and mentoring junior engineers and interns.
- Experience working with and producing control and system requirements.
- Master's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong team-building skills to support fast-paced product delivery methodologies.
- Ability to work successfully in and promote an agile engineering workplace.
- Willingness to travel depending on team requirements.
- Bi-lingual, English, and Chinese.
- 8+ years of experience with MATLAB / Simulink, Model Based Design with Code Generation, Model Based Design Automated Test, and Model Based Design Thermal Modeling.
- Graduate course in Advanced Controls and Digital Signal Processing.
- International Engineering Experience in Product Definition and Requirements.
