Your Responsibilities:

As a Senior HVAC Controls Technician, you will:

  • Conduct programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of HVAC control systems, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components.
  • Respond to service requests and warranty issues using Johnson Controls tools and a variety of hand tools, including electrical testing devices.
  • Provide technical support and repair guidance through effective communication with clients, offering system repair and upgrade recommendations.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians while advancing your career within a leading global organization.

How You Will Achieve This:

  • Load and configure Johnson Controls field and network-level controller software.
  • Perform commissioning and diagnostics for system controllers and end devices, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Keep management and clients informed about job progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including time tracking, expense reporting, and on-site documentation.
  • Document modifications and provide information for as-built records.
  • Engage in company-sponsored and self-initiated training to maintain high levels of knowledge and skill.
  • Interact with clients to fully understand their systems and requirements.
  • Communicate with clients upon arrival and before departing the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in required safety training, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.

Qualifications We Seek:

Essential:

  • 2-4 years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Honeywell, Siemens, Tridium, Trane, and others.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, their sequences, and applications.
  • Proven technical skills in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment like multimeters.
  • Solid understanding of personal computer usage.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and listening abilities.
