Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Controls Engineer to join our Controls & Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced controls for Chillers and Smart Building products used by our customers to run their buildings and manage their energy costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the team's Data Center Controls Technical Lead, you will perform duties that involve developing, testing, and supporting controls for Chiller Solutions' products.
  • You will work with other engineers in developing, testing, and supporting controls for Chiller Solutions' products.
  • You must be an analytical thinker and be disciplined in applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles (modeling, simulation, statistics, data acquisition, etc.) to develop and realize equipment control solutions.
  • You must be self-motivated and able to work independently but must also be able to interface directly with electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and research engineers to develop system-wide solutions.
  • You will work with peers and specialists across disciplines to meet shared product milestones. In addition, the position will be responsible as lead for complex projects, which will involve implementation, reviewing work products, and mentoring junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

  • You must have experience working with and producing control and system requirements.
  • A qualified individual shall have a minimum MS in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • You must have strong team-building skills to support fast-paced product delivery methodologies.
  • You must be able to work successfully in and promote an agile engineering workplace.
  • You must be willing to travel depending on team requirements.
  • You must be bi-lingual, English, and Chinese.
  • You must have 8+ years of work experience in MATLAB / Simulink.
  • You must have 8+ years of experience in Model Based Design with Code Generation.
  • You must have 8+ years of experience in Model Based Design Automated Test.
  • You must have experience in Model Based Design Thermal Modeling.
  • You must have a graduate course in Advanced Controls.
  • You must have a graduate course in Digital Signal Processing.
  • You must have 7+ years in HVAC equipment design, development, and controls.
  • You must have international engineering experience in product definition and requirements.
