Job Title: Structures Superintendent

At Crescent City Recruitment Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Structures Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil utility construction and be able to lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-plan work activities with the project manager to develop best means and methods, including safety action plans.
  • Review all contracts, project documentation, and plans to ensure that the work in the field is built to the most recent specifications.
  • Plan the day-to-day operations on assigned projects and ensure that proper resources are in place for the timely completion of work, including labor, tools, equipment, and material.
  • Take responsibility for crew performance as it relates to company goals, safety audits, and following company policies and procedures.
  • Initiate follow-up action as necessary, including training, orientation, discipline, etc.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the crew to review production goals, performance feedback, safety, and schedule, hazards, and to solicit feedback from the workers.
  • Maintain a dedication to safety by modeling, providing education, and enforcing safe work practices and company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with contractors or subcontractors to coordinate work, goals, etc.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience as a pipe foreman and 5 years as a superintendent in civil utility construction is required.
  • Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of all underground utilities (water, storm, and sewer).
  • Experience in managing crews of 10 or more employees.
  • Ability to read and understand project-specific documents, including schedules, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to oversee the work of others and clearly communicate instructions to the crew.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work being performed.
  • Ability to understand and expertly carry out instructions.
  • Ability to keep records and prepare production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and updating project files.
