Great States Construction is seeking a highly skilled General Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with project superintendents to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Ensure overall safety, quality control, and resolve job issues
  • Lead project lead superintendents, superintendents, foremen, and laborers
  • Partner with field teams to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with plans and budget
  • Ensure all company equipment is maintained properly
  • Interview, hire, provide direction, evaluate performance, and coach and discipline field team members
  • Perform site audits and create processes and best practices for the field teams
  • Well-versed in all scopes of construction systems, and assemblies including civil site work, structural, concrete, framing, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
  • Actively manage risk, safety, and quality to ensure expectations are met on job sites
  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure project standards are met
  • Ensure all reports and records are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Partner with PM's and Superintendents for project close-out, including your own final inspection and documentation
  • Coordinate all safety meetings and review all procedures for best practices
Requirements
  • Clear driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or similar
  • Five years of proven construction experience in the field
  • OSHA 30 or other related safety experience
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
