Position Summary:

As a Senior Psychometric Specialist at Kryterion Inc, you will leverage your expertise in statistical analysis and client engagement to enhance our testing processes. Key Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive job task analysis, facilitating focus groups, designing surveys, overseeing survey execution, analyzing results, and presenting findings.
  • Develop detailed test blueprints and specifications, including drafting and coordinating meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Lead item development and technical review workshops, along with training sessions.
  • Manage item banks through quality control, item revisions, coding, and identifying problematic items.
  • Execute Classical Test Theory (CTT) analyses for exams and items, providing insights and discussing outcomes with clients.
  • Analyze Item Response Theory (IRT) statistics, offering recommendations and reviewing results with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate standard-setting studies, including SME meetings, data analysis, cut score recommendations, and reporting.
  • Conduct equating studies utilizing CTT and maintain knowledge of IRT methodologies.
  • Draft technical reports for job task analysis and standard-setting activities.
  • Recommend and oversee test maintenance tasks, including revisions and updates to test item sets.
  • Create and manage project plans, ensuring timely completion of activities within budget constraints.
  • Guarantee that all deliverables meet the standards of clients, the company, and the industry.
  • Provide clear recommendations on test development and psychometric principles to both internal and external audiences.
  • Guide accreditation processes (e.g., NCCA, ANSI/ANAB).
  • Participate in industry conferences to act as a psychometric resource and stay updated on trends.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Educational Measurement, Educational Statistics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the certification and licensure sector.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated project management and time management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency in SPSS statistical software.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for client workshops.
