About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Daltile. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for increasing market share and sales for our company in the prescribed region/area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly sales calls to service existing customers and expand our account base through cold calling.
  • Prepare weekly sales and call reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop a monthly sales strategy and prepare a travel calendar to ensure effective use of time.
  • Conduct area market analysis to identify top accounts, dealers, contractors, and builders in the region.
  • Research market product data to determine sales strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Grow market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company-approved product margin goals.
  • Complete positive action forms for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack, and/or sale.
  • Utilize influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer showrooms.
  • Conduct client follow-ups via phone calls, letters, and/or emails.
  • Establish and maintain client files and perform timely follow-up on programs and projects.
  • Provide product knowledge seminars to customers.
  • Utilize on-demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and some college highly preferred.
  • Computer skills to include functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes/email.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation is required.
  • 4 years prior selling experience.
  • Prior customer service experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required.
Competencies
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Must possess proven interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.
