Job Summary: We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist Lead to join our team at Lantern Community Services Inc. As a Peer Support Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for providing guidance to staff on providing culturally competent services to individuals in recovery.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for helping others achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to staff on providing culturally competent services to individuals in recovery.
  • Collaborate with leasing and compliance teams to ensure housing stability.
  • Represent the building's community at agency and public meetings.
  • Develop harm reduction strategies with clients.
  • Teach effective coping strategies and symptom management skills based on personal experience.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Peer Certification with New York State or willingness to complete within six months of hire date.
  • Lived experience receiving services for mental health, substance use, and/or a chronic health condition and a commitment to assist others in attaining recovery and wellness goals.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency required.

Estimated Salary: $43,400 - $53,000 per year (dependent on experience).
