Job Opportunity

The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a motivated and compassionate Peer Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing outreach and support services to individuals affected by substance use disorders.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $52,000 - $57,500 per year, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes comprehensive healthcare, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outreach and engagement services to individuals affected by substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement harm reduction strategies to reduce overdose risk and promote recovery.
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide education and training on harm reduction techniques.
  • Participate in case management and referrals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a harm reduction or addiction services setting.
  • Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or similar credential preferred.
