Environmental Partnership Development Specialist

TreePeople is an environmental nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire, engage, and support individuals in taking personal responsibility for the environment.
Job DescriptionThis position plays a key role in TreePeople's Environmental Education and Outdoor Equity programs by assisting the leadership team in supporting new partnerships and maintaining enduring relationships with schools and education-based organizations.
The successful candidate will help guide the strategic targets and impact of the department's team of ~20 members who provide interpretive field trips and on-campus project-based outdoor learning and presentations.
The School Partnerships Associate Manager will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and supporting partnerships with schools, teachers, administrators, school districts, and youth across K-12 grade bands.
- Promoting high attendance and engagement in Environmental Education and Outdoor Equity workshops and programming across Los Angeles County.
- Facilitating outreach presentations and discussions at educator conferences, school district/administrator meetings, and local events targeted to teachers and students.
- Supporting departmental leadership and coordinators in geostrategy to connect coordinators to strategic school sites.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven project management skills, including accountability, time management, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Outreach and engagement experience, including social media and newsletter outreach.
- A strong relationship with schools and school districts across Los Angeles County.
- High computer literacy, including familiarity with Salesforce, ArcGIS, Asana, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and other internet-based programs.
- Experience in outreach and networking with schools and teachers, giving presentations, event planning, and event facilitation.
The salary for this position is $26.00 per hour.
