The Environmental Education and Community Outreach Specialist will be a key member of the team responsible for developing and implementing environmental education programs for schools and communities in Los Angeles County. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement environmental education programs for schools and communities.
- Promote environmental education programs through outreach and engagement efforts, including social media, email newsletters, and community events.
- Build relationships with school administrators, teachers, and students to promote environmental education programs.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations and businesses to support environmental education initiatives.
- Manage data and track program outcomes to inform future program development.
- Represent TreePeople's Environmental Education and Outdoor Equity programs at regional and state environmental education community meetings and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Education, or related field.
- Proven experience in project management, outreach, and engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for environmental education and commitment to equity and inclusion.
- $26.00 per hour
