Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Ochsner Health. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries for our athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for athletes
  • Conduct on-field immediate care for injuries and recommend follow-up treatment
  • Maintain accurate injury logs and communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in athletic training
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement rehabilitation programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field
  • Current Athletic Trainer license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in athletic training or related field
  • Athletic Training Board Certification of Board of Certification (BOC)
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including on-field, in clinics, and in offices. The incumbent will be required to travel to various locations and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
