About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team at LCMC Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to injured athletes, assessing and treating movement dysfunction and physical disability, and developing treatment programs under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, treat, and instruct athletes with movement dysfunction and physical disability caused by pain or injury
  • Administer immediate first aid care and develop treatment programs based on the nature of the injury
  • Communicate health care information with athletes, caregivers, coaches, school administrators, and physician partners as necessary
  • Implement a program for Emergency Action Planning (EAP), documentation, and training
  • Maintain professional relationships with physician partners and related interests within the organization and medical community
Requirements
  • 1 year experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • National BOC Certified Athletic Trainer required, State Licensed Athletic Trainer through LSBME required, Basic Life Support from American Heart Association (CPR) required
