Position Overview:

This role involves delivering essential services at the main reception and gaming area of Wood Center. Responsibilities encompass providing campus information, managing lost and found items, facilitating recreational activities (including pool tables and ping pong), operating the campus switchboard, selling tickets for campus and community events, and offering a selection of sundries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver services at the main reception and gaming area of Wood Center.
  2. Provide campus information and manage lost and found services.
  3. Facilitate recreational services including pool tables, ping pong, and video games.
  4. Operate the campus switchboard and manage ticket sales for events.
  5. Assist in the sale of various sundries.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills, along with excellent customer service abilities are essential for this position.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in an office environment, cash handling, and customer service is preferred.

Education Requirements:

No specific educational qualifications are required for this position.

Compensation:

This position is classified as Student Assistant B, with a minimum starting pay of $12.00 per hour.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be enrolled as UAF students, taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester, and maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, or be newly enrolled students.

Review Process:

This position remains open throughout the academic year, allowing students to apply at any time. When a position needs to be filled, the department reviews the current pool of applicants for interviews.
