Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team at Wood Center This student role is pivotal in delivering exceptional services at the main reception and gaming area. Responsibilities encompass providing campus information, managing lost and found inquiries, facilitating recreational activities (including pool tables and ping pong), operating the campus switchboard, and handling ticket sales for various events.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver services at the main desk and gaming area, including campus information and lost and found.
  2. Oversee recreational services, including pool tables, ping pong, and video games.
  3. Manage the campus switchboard and assist with ticket sales for campus and community events.
  4. Sell a variety of sundries to enhance the visitor experience.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service capabilities.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in an office environment, cash handling, and customer service is advantageous.

Education and Training:

No specific educational requirements are necessary.

Compensation:

This position is classified as Student Assistant B, with a minimum starting pay of $12.00 per hour.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be enrolled as UAF students, taking at least 6 credits per semester, and maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, or be newly enrolled students.

Review Process:

This is a pooled position, remaining open throughout the academic year. When a vacancy arises, the department reviews the current pool of applicants for interviews.
