Operational Logistics Coordinator Leader

The Schwartz Brothers Restaurants seek to hire a highly skilled Operational Logistics Coordinator Leader to oversee all direct store deliveries activities and ensure products are delivered safely and efficiently to customers.

This critical leadership role will focus on managing and supervising drivers and supervisors for all delivery and warehouse routes, as well as working closely with the management and HR department to maintain driver SOPs and compliance procedures.



Key Responsibilities

  • Management and Supervision

    • Staff, schedule, train, and develop drivers and supervisors for all delivery and warehouse routes.
    • Supervise truck drivers, including motivation, coaching, performance management, discipline, team member reviews, and terminations.

  • Logistics and Operations

    • Assure safe vehicles operating on the roads by fostering a positive safety culture among the delivery department.
    • Continually monitor and maintain delivery fleet vehicles, ensuring they are repaired and maintained as needed.
    • Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, monitoring CSA scores, and meeting with individual drivers.
    • Audit driver manifests and Proof of Delivery documents, and foster a culture of high standards of customer service.

  • Collaboration and Communication

    • Collaborate with customer service, manufacturing, and order fulfillment teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
    • Main contact for customer service and sales to add or update ship-to routing and delivery information.
    • Audit routes sequencing and restrictions monthly to ensure efficient and effective delivery operations.

  • Financial Management

    • Review and approve all delivery department expenses, including fuel, truck wash, leases, rental invoices, towing, maintenance, and repair invoices.
    • Ensure department is within budget.

  • Additional Responsibilities

    • Work a flexible schedule, be available for emergency road calls, and assist drivers with emergency deliveries as needed.
    • Be proactive and solution-oriented to avoid service disruptions during holidays, severe weather, or emergency truck breakdowns.
    • Troubleshoot late loads to ensure on-time delivery and pick-up of customer freight.
    • Direct investigations to verify and resolve driver, customer, or shipper complaints.
    • Work to retain drivers and improve driver morale by building good working relationships with each driver.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and Skills

    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Excellent time management and supervisory skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to effectively read, speak, and communicate in English.
    • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.

  • Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or general education degree preferred, but not required.
    • At least two (2) years of experience in a management/supervisory role.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Valid Washington State Driver's License and clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Required ability to bend, twist, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods to perform normal job functions.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Flexibility and/or reliability in work schedule required to provide support when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $85,000-$100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
