Your Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The clinical nurse works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and execute a tailored care plan for a designated group of patients, ensuring seamless coordination of care among various disciplines and support personnel. This role encompasses professional nursing responsibilities that utilize both psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills to assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients continuously throughout their care journey. The nurse will assess patient outcomes, evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, and determine readiness for discharge, making necessary adjustments or referrals as needed. Additionally, this position serves as a mentor and role model for students and newly hired nurses within the unit. The nurse may also take on the role of Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) as directed by supervisory staff.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Completion of Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) or CPI training within the first month of employment
  • A minimum of six months of relevant nursing experience
  • At least six months of recent experience in emergency room nursing
  • All external applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and effectively communicating in English
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Capability to maintain an appropriate work pace in accordance with workload demands
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards
  • Previous experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Bilingual proficiency to communicate effectively with patients and their families
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
