Job Summary

General Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Service Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the prime physical condition of our communities and providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of maintenance employees, including service technicians, carpenters, lifeguards/pool attendants, and regional tradesmen.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the HazCom Program, Respiratory Protection Program, Emergency Response Plan, and O&M Plans for Lead, Asbestos, Mold, and Meth.
  • Oversee the completion of service requests, maintaining an acceptable level of completed work orders.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the condition of Presumed Asbestos-Containing Materials (PACM's), Lead-Based Paint (LBP), smoke alarms, and other designated items.
  • Provide quality control, review, and make suggestions on major equipment acquisitions.
  • Review new products and service procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, prospects, applicants, residents, and coworkers in a manner consistent with the Company's Customer Service Program and philosophy.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Delegate work orders, schedule turns, and order supplies as needed.
  • Review computerized purchase orders/budget reports.
  • Assist the Property Manager in responding to service-related complaint letters and legal resident-related problems.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in HVAC repair, plumbing, basic carpentry, and electrical skills.
  • EPA Certification (Type 2 or Universal).
  • HVAC installation experience and HVAC troubleshooting experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Passing a criminal background check.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Initiative and customer service skills.
