Job Summary

The DC Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensuring resources meet safety, productivity, accuracy, and service goals. This role provides leadership and guidance to associates, fostering teamwork, cross-functional communication, personal growth, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job leadership and guidance to associates.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment, providing first-level support and follow-up for all associates' needs.
  • Maintain workplace safety standards in a clean and orderly environment.
  • Set daily/weekly goals for associates and effectively communicate goals to ensure associate understanding.
  • Ensure established operating procedures (SOPs) are followed for all department functions and processes.
  • Administer company policies and practices, ensuring compliance.
  • Responsible for people and team development, ensuring adequate training of department employees.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop teams to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Engage cross-functionally with business partners to assist teams in solving operational issues using company-established problem-solving practices.
  • Partner with and assist Department Managers to deliver Performance Reviews and Corrective Actions.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on your direct area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma as a minimum education degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience or in a leadership role.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in employee relations.
  • Multidisciplinary experience (operations, logistics, retail, supply chain, transportation, and distribution) is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole) is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements.
  • Self-directed, multi-tasking, hands-on, and action-oriented with the ability to perform in high-pressure and dynamic situations.
  • Goal-oriented and customer-focused.
  • Ability to make decisions based on the complete Company perspective.
  • Problem solver.
  • Desire for career advancement in the organization.

Physical Demands

  • Adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Full body rotation and mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc).
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., necessary to move cartons of merchandise.
  • Ability to stand on feet 85% of the day.
