Assistant Professor in Bioengineering

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor in Bioengineering to join our faculty at Texas Tech University. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering and related fields
- Develop and maintain a research program in bioengineering, with a focus on health monitoring, medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices, biosensors, neural engineering, biomaterials, and bio-imaging
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and other departments on campus to advance research and teaching initiatives
- Participate in service activities, including departmental and university committees, and contribute to the development of the bioengineering program
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University is a research-active department with a strong focus on innovation and collaboration. Requirements- Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong research and teaching background in bioengineering or a related field
- Ability to develop and maintain a research program with extramural funding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students
- Strong record of scholarship supported by extramural funding
- Proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University
