Assistant Professor in Bioengineering

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Bioengineering to join our faculty at Texas Tech University. The successful candidate will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering and related fields.
- Develop and maintain a research program in bioengineering, with a focus on health monitoring, medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices, biosensors, neural engineering, biomaterials, and bio-imaging.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and other departments on campus to advance research and teaching initiatives.
- Participate in service activities, including departmental and university committees, and contribute to the development of the bioengineering program.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University is a research-active department with a strong focus on bioengineering. We have a diverse faculty with expertise in areas such as nano-photonics, pulsed power, nanotechnology, electric energy, radar technology, and biomedical research.

Requirements- An earned doctorate in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a field closely related to the search is required.
- The successful candidate is expected to have a strong research record and the potential to secure extramural funding.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable.
We are looking for individuals with expertise in bioengineering-related research areas, including health monitoring, medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices, biosensors, neural engineering, biomaterials, and bio-imaging.
