Job Summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Building Supervisor/Membership Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring the general safety and security of the building, as well as providing exceptional customer service to members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform walkthroughs of the building to identify potential safety hazards and take corrective action
  • Complete facility closing reports and ensure that all areas of the building are secure
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, including answering questions and resolving issues
  • Assist with membership sales and promotions, including giving tours and providing information about programs and services
  • Work closely with the Membership Director to develop and implement strategies to improve member engagement and retention
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of previous customer service experience required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree with emphasis in Marketing or Communications
  • Previous experience in a membership-based organization
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
