Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Oceaneering Aerospace and Defense Technologies (ADTECH) engineering team. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex power and control systems for unique underwater robotic and electromechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate proper designs and work to complete tasking with latitude to make decisions under minimal supervision.
  • Exercise excellent technical judgement, creativity, and initiative with attention to detail consistently throughout your work product.
  • Prepare and participate in regular design reviews.
  • Work closely in concert with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to solve problems and constructively architect a working system.
  • Supervise/mentor junior engineers or technicians, when necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • Entry-level knowledge and desire to gain practical technical experience in the creative engineering process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge/experience in the marine industry and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry professional, technical, and military standards.
  • Good practical technician skills.
  • Knowledge/experience with fiber-optics, PCB design, and brushless motor drives.
