About the Role

As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with our team of experts to design, develop, and integrate complex electrical systems for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing significant portions of electrical and control system designs
  • Leading, supervising, and mentoring small to medium teams of electrical engineers
  • Generating proper designs and completing tasking with latitude to make decisions under minimal supervision
  • Exercising excellent technical judgment, creativity, and initiative with attention to detail
  • Preparing and participating in regular design reviews
  • Working closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to solve problems and architect a working system
  • Supervising/mentoring junior engineers or technicians, as necessary
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related field/curriculum having an Electrical concentration)
  • Minimum 10+ years practical technical experience in the creative (Electrical) engineering process
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance (active clearances preferred, but not prerequisite)
  • Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Selecting and integrating varying pieces of high-tech Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment
  • Designing and interfacing components of industrial quality embedded microprocessor, single-board computer (SBC) based control systems
  • Designing, wiring, cabling, grounding for minimizing electrical noise and EMI
  • Proficiency in proper use and application of various standard electronic test equipment
  • Proficiency with advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD), Simulation, and Analysis software packages
