Oceaneering is a global leader in the development and implementation of complex power and control systems for unique underwater robotic and electromechanical systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Project Electrical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of complex electrical and control systems for underwater robotic and electromechanical systems.
- Design and develop electrical and control systems, including power supplies, control devices, and signal conditioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and testing.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of practical technical experience in electrical engineering, including design, development, and testing of complex electrical and control systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance.
- Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-tech Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment and integration.
- Good working knowledge of electrical and electronic components, including signal conditioning, power supplies, control devices, and switching devices.
- Experience with industrial quality embedded microprocessor and single-board computer (SBC) based control systems.
- Experience with data communications signaling, including Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, SPI, I2C, CAN, and their associated media and protocols.
- Experience with DC power systems design and calculation of system power and energy requirements.
- Good electrical drawing/drafting skills and proficiency in proper use and application of various standard electronic test equipment.
- Proficiency with advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD), Simulation, and Analysis software packages.
