Role Summary

The Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I) position at The Council on Recovery focuses on building clinical skills and helping new clinicians find their clinical voice. As a practitioner-scholar, you will have opportunities to provide individual and group psychotherapy, develop treatment plans, and participate in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-facilitate psychoeducation and process groups for the Discovering Choices Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Develop and review treatment plans
  • Conduct individual sessions
  • Participate in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment

Requirements
  • Relevant licensure (LCDC-I) required
  • Experience with substance use assessment and treatment (individual, group, and family) a plus
  • Understanding of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for substance use disorder and mental health disorders
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and data entry experience
