AAMA Sanchez Charter School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Houston.

This full-time position requires a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern with experience in counseling individuals with substance use disorders.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm in tense situations, and a passion for empowering learners and inspiring leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling services to individuals with substance use disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote recovery and well-being
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

  • LCDC or LCDC-I licensure in good standing in Texas
  • Previous experience in counseling individuals with substance use disorders
  • Valid Texas Driver License and clear driving record
  • Drug screen and background check
