Job Summary

The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Senior Psychiatrist, you will provide direct psychiatric care and consultation to patients in an intensive care management setting. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team to assess, diagnose, and provide psychiatric treatment to clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychiatric care and consultation to patients in an intensive care management setting
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide psychiatric treatment to clients
  • Work closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor a caseload of clients regularly and provide cross-coverage for other psychiatrists
  • Participate in clinic quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
  • Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in a Psychiatric medical specialty area
  • Possession of valid Drug Enforcement Agency registration with the United States Department of Justice
