Position Overview

Financial Empowerment Intake Coordinator - $1,000 TRAINING INCENTIVE

Are you driven by the chance to assist individuals in our community in achieving their financial aspirations?

Community Action is seeking an Intake Coordinator to become part of our Financial Empowerment team. This role involves establishing initial and ongoing client interactions while facilitating information sharing both internally and externally. The position will aid in the overall operations of the Financial Empowerment programs, particularly during participant recruitment, application processing, and data management.

Compensation: $18.10/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the participant application and intake procedures; distribute applications as needed, assess applications, determine eligibility and priority, and communicate acceptance or denial outcomes.
  • Engage with participants regarding program expectations, issues, and feedback.
  • Ensure accurate entry of participant demographic and attendance information into the agency's data management system.
  • Initiate the creation of participant files according to each program's requirements.
  • Coordinate participant scheduling and reminders for coaching sessions and educational workshops.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of Financial Empowerment program details and specific classes or opportunities to identified community partners. Collaborate with Community Action's Communication Specialist to share program information through various media channels.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple objectives and performing well under pressure.
  • Capability to collaborate with colleagues across the agency to promote services and ensure service consistency.
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
