Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service to members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Meat Department Operations: Manage the meat department, including supervising team members, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Sales and Profitability: Meet or exceed sales and profit goals, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure their success.
- Inventory Management: Receive and inspect meat shipments, conduct inventory counts, and order supplies as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet company quality standards, maintaining a full variety of meat products according to presentation guidelines.
- Training and Development: Train team members on standards of cutting, processing, weighing, wrapping, receiving, and rotating meat products.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge as a qualified journeyman meat cutter preferred, formal food service vocational education preferred, and high school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, deli, grocery, meat, and/or management experience is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results.
- Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and an attention to detail required.
- Availability: Open shift availability required.
- Physical Demands: Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, regular lifting of containers up to 80 lbs. with assistance, ability to operate safely power equipment and sharp knives, frequent exposure to cleaning agents, and long periods of standing with frequent reaching and bending.
