Aerospace Engineering Lecturer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer A or Senior Lecturer A in Aerospace Engineering to join our faculty team at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace engineering, serving as a faculty advisor for students interested in aerospace engineering, and contributing to curriculum development and research proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Teach basic and advanced aerospace engineering courses
- Serve as faculty advisor for students interested in aerospace engineering
- Contribute to curriculum development and research proposals
- Engage with industry to coordinate experiential activities and internships
- Promote diversity and inclusiveness in the department
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or a M.S. degree with multiple years of industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in industry, government, or teaching in aerospace engineering. To be qualified at the Senior Lecturer rank, candidates must have six years of full-time experience.
