LabVIEW Software Controls Engineer

Join Mahle as a Software Controls Engineer and contribute to the development of real-time control system software and automated test equipment software for automotive components.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop LabVIEW applications for testing automotive components
- Integrate industrial process controls, signal conditioners, and NI hardware with LabVIEW applications
- Develop data acquisition solutions using LabVIEW and other applications
- Troubleshoot problems with test system control and accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering customers to understand and implement new work
- Project management: execution and support
- Control and maintenance of laboratory software
- Write test and calibration procedures for new or modified test systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - required; Master's degree preferred
- No immigration sponsorship offered for this position
- 1 or more years of experience in engineering with automated test systems - required; 3-5 years preferred
- 1 or more years of LabVIEW experience - required
- Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell RSLogix)
- Strong knowledge of industrial process controls
- Wide scope of instrumentation including pressure, temperature, and flow devices
- National Instrumentation Hardware platforms (FieldPoint, Compact RIO)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of calibration principles - preferred
- Knowledge of electrical principles - preferred
- Controlling and communicating electronic test equipment with PC and PLC interfaces
- Experience with PC-based architecture and basic repair, upgrades
- Refrigeration principles or knowledge - highly desired
- Knowledge of noise and vibration principles - desired
- WonderWare knowledge and experience - desired
