Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Space and Power Network Deployment Specialist to join our team at L&T Technology Services. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing regional space and power requirements for our edge network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Planning: Design and plan new site electrical and mechanical critical infrastructure for Data Center sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Site Execution: Execute all SOW Engineering design packages related to new or existing edge/pop sites as per ENS standards, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Documentation and Automation: Proactively contribute to documentation, automation, and processes as they evolve, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Process Improvement: Guide retrospective reviews of completed projects with teams to incorporate lessons learned into our future roadmaps and goals.
  • Site Acceptance: Ensure processes are being followed and all documentation and systems are delivered as per set standards, facilitating smooth site acceptance.
  • Travel and Site Evaluation: Travel to site across states for site survey and evaluation as per need basis, ensuring accurate assessment and planning.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Expertise: 7-8 years of electrical engineer work experience, with outstanding proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoDesk tools.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of engineering principles of the infrastructure architecture, including space line up, air flow, cooling, and power redundancy scenarios.
  • Telecom and Data Center Experience: Experience with field-based work in POPs, carrier hotels, data centers, and Central Office environments, including knowledge of Telecom Central Offices, Data Center, Collocations, and Remote Hut environments.
  • Optical Network Design: Understanding of optical network design, installation, and maintenance for service providers or enterprise networks, including knowledge of optical theory, transport technologies, and the operation of optical transport systems.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communications experience, with the ability to direct tasks to vendors/suppliers and work in a global team environment.
  • Travel and Time Management: Willingness to travel, approximately 10 to 30% travel required, with strong time management and organizational experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification: PE certification is preferred, demonstrating expertise in electrical engineering and infrastructure design.
  • AutoCAD/AutoDesk Proficiency: Outstanding proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoDesk tools, including BIM 360 and Blue Beam.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
