Power Engineer Role at Meta

We are seeking a skilled Power Engineer to join our Power Systems team at Meta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing rack power solutions that support our fast-growing infrastructure at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and design rack-level power systems to enable integration of various IT gear into Meta data centers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive product qualification and ensure product deployment.
  • Review and drive product development with external power vendors, including design review, test report review, and manufacturing test coverage review.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution for product operation issues in the field.
  • Contribute to rack-level power system solution roadmap with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in power supply design.
  • 5+ years of experience with product bring-up and proven troubleshooting skills with power supply testing methodologies.
  • Experience with AC-DC power conversion topologies, such as active PFC approaches, PWM converters, and resonant converters.
  • Experience with high-power redundant AC-DC power supply design and proven track of successfully delivering products into production.
  • Experience with design tools for schematic, layout, and simulation, such as Cadence, PCad, Mathcad, PSpice, or Simetrix/Simplis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with rack-level power systems.
  • Experience with Data Center power delivery.
  • Exposure and experience with digital bus design, such as I2C/PMBus, Modbus, and CANbus.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and application process.
  • Familiarity with power supply qualification standard and process, such as components derating, MTBF, and EMC.
  • Familiarity with DC/DC power system design and evaluation.
Compensation:

$129,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
