Senior Project Manager for Water Infrastructure Solutions

The Water Division at AECOM is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in water infrastructure solutions.
This role is integral to a dynamic team that leverages cutting-edge technologies to address critical challenges in water supply, treatment, and infrastructure projects across the United States, particularly focusing on the California region.
This position presents a unique opportunity to engage with some of the most urgent water infrastructure issues facing the nation, while contributing to AECOM's reputation as a leader in engineering and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution of ongoing Design-Build water and wastewater projects and will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and acquisition of future design-build initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess the capability to operate effectively in both conceptual and detailed engineering as well as construction project management roles. The primary duties will encompass managing a multi-disciplinary design team through AECOM's design centers, along with comprehensive project management for the procurement of process equipment and subcontractors, scheduling, value engineering, constructability assessments, and maintaining oversight of job cost reporting and budget control throughout the project lifecycle, including analysis during on-site construction as the prime contractor.
Essential Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in commercial and construction contract management is essential.
Project managers with a background in Design-Build project management, particularly within the water/wastewater sector or industrial (process) construction environments, will be given special consideration.
Financial Acumen:
Proven project management expertise in delivering projects within budget and on schedule is required. Familiarity with job accounting and reporting methodologies, such as earned value analysis and estimates to complete, is advantageous.
Collaborative Team Leadership:
This role necessitates the ability to directly supervise and coordinate detailed engineering and construction teams, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure successful project delivery.
