Position Summary:

At Vail Resorts, exceptional service is our core value, and our Ski Patrol team plays a vital role in ensuring a memorable experience for all. The Ski Patrol is tasked with safeguarding the well-being of both staff and guests on the mountain, requiring vigilant and reliable professionals who can maintain composure during emergencies.

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: Potentially Available
  • Expected Compensation: $23.26 per hour
  • Work Schedule: Full Time - 4 days per week; including weekends and holidays.
  • Required Skills: WFR, OEC, EMT or higher medical certification.
  • Additional Requirements: Expert skiing proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest safety at all times.
  • Provide assistance to injured individuals on the slopes.
  • Maintain trails, including managing closures, safety equipment, avalanche control, and addressing environmental impacts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Successfully complete the resort's Ski Patrol sponsored ski assessment.
  • Proficient communication skills in English.
  • Strong guest service abilities.
  • Capability to work in adverse weather conditions in a high-altitude environment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Adequate sight, speech, and hearing abilities to learn skills and follow directions.

The anticipated pay range is $23.26 per hour. This reflects the expected compensation for this role, with individual pay determined by various factors.
