Position Summary:

Service excellence is at the heart of everything we do at Vail Resorts, and our Ski Patrol team plays a vital role in ensuring this commitment. Responsible for safeguarding the well-being of staff and guests on the mountain, Ski Patrol members are vigilant and reliable professionals dedicated to promoting safety and maintaining composure during emergencies.

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: Potentially Available
  • Expected Compensation: $23.26 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule: Full Time - 4 days per week; Includes Weekends and Holidays.
  • Required Skill Level: WFR, OEC, EMT or higher medical certification.
  • Additional Requirements: Expert Skiing Proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest safety on the mountain.
  • Provide assistance to injured guests.
  • Maintain trails, including closures, safety materials, avalanche management, and other environmental impacts.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Position Requirements:

  • Successfully pass the resort's Ski Patrol sponsored ski assessment.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Exceptional guest service skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions in a high-altitude environment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Adequate sight, speech, and hearing abilities to learn skills and follow directions.

The anticipated pay range is $23.26. This is the range we expect to offer for this position. Individual compensation decisions will be based on various factors.
